Ingredients

  • Grape Base
  • 4 cups red and green grapes seedless and washed
  • Mixing colors makes the salad extra pretty.
  • Be sure grapes are completely dry
  • Wet grapes thin the dressing.
  • Creamy Dressing
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Crunchy Topping
  • cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup toasted pecans chopped
  • Toasting adds deeper flavor and crunch.
  • Optional Garnish
  • A handful of extra pecans
  • A sprinkle of brown sugar
  • A drizzle of honey

Instructions

  • Prep the Grapes (5 minutes)
  • Wash grapes thoroughly under cold water.
  • Dry them completely — seriously, don’t rush this step.
  • Keep them whole or slice large grapes in half.
  • Tip: Leaving them whole gives a juicer bite. Cutting them helps the dressing cling better.
  • Make the Creamy Dressing (5 minutes)
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add sour cream and mix until creamy.
  • Add brown sugar and vanilla.
  • Stir until the mixture becomes glossy and smooth.
  • Add the Grapes (2 minutes)
  • Gently fold the grapes into the dressing.
  • Coat them completely without smashing.
  • Top with Crunch (2 minutes)
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
  • Add toasted pecans.
  • Leave the topping as a layer or gently swirl it in.
  • Chill Before Serving (1 hour or more)
  • Let the salad rest in the fridge to develop flavor and thicken slightly.
  • If you can’t wait? Don’t worry — it tastes great at room temperature too.

Notes

  • Dry grapes completely to keep the dressing thick and creamy.
  • Use room temperature cream cheese for the smoothest dressing texture.
  • Toast pecans for deeper, richer flavor and extra crunch.
  • Chill the salad for at least an hour for the best texture and flavor.
  • For extra sweetness, add an additional sprinkle of brown sugar on top before serving.
  • Fold grapes gently to avoid crushing them and watering down the salad.
